Then you should should go for the originals because the EEs have royally changed all the gameplay in BGEE. if you can get an optical disk drive to install CDs,. if you can set up a viable OS with a VM or other compatibility mechanism,. I would answer the question of original vs. I would modify the rest of what you said. Mod stability? That's a case-by-case basis for both platforms (of course).
